刘子绚5月底与新传媒约满后离开，不到半年就与华研唱片签下经纪约，并改名重新出发，接拍U频道原创电影《小孩·狗》。
Jessica Liu left when her contract with Mediacorp finished at the end of May 2010. Less than six months later she sign with Hua Yan music company. She change her name to have a new start, filming the Channel U's Original Movie, "Lost and Found".

她说，休息期间认定了演戏是终身事业，今后会给自己更大的压力！
She said during her break she decided to take up acting as a life-long carrer. In the future she will give herself more pressure!

刘子绚上星期四在U频道记者会上受访时笑说，离电视剧《红白囍事》拍摄完毕至今有将近8个月的时间，难免有些戏瘾。“其实离开是为了休息，并沉淀心情和思绪，一直没有排除再演戏的可能。”

During the break, Jessica Liu went back to her Malaysia's home in Langkawi, to see the spa business presently taken care of by the mother and sister: "The important part is to help in some of the operational planning, but now it is possible to use the Internet to communicate every day."
