Aamir Khan’s blockbuster 3 Idiots has been named as the Best Popular Film at the 57th National Film Awards, which were announced today.Meanwhile, Bollywood megastar Amitabh Bachchan has bagged the Best Actor award for his performance in Paa whereas Ananya Chatterjee bagged Best Actress for Bengali film Abohoman.
The Best Supporting actress award went to Arundhati Nag for her performance in award winning Paa.
Best Director went to Rituparno Ghosh for Abohoman.
Renowned actor Farooq Sheikh won Best Supporting actor for his role in Lahore. The actor spoke to NDTV over phone from Delhi said “it was satisfying to get this award.”
